My wife our 3 children, decided it was time to return home to the Scottish Highlands and follow our hearts. We have made our home in Nairn, close to Inverness airport, and Whisky Distilleries, Culloden, Castles, Standing Stones, Golf Courses, gorgeous beaches and the most amazing scenery.
I gained my Scottish Tourist Guide Association (STGA) Green badge at The University of the Highlands & Islands and have full indemnity insurance as well as an Emergency First Aid Training certificate.
I am passionate about the Scottish Highlands, and would love to show you the best of the area, share some stories, explain the history and help to make your trip a fun, interesting, memorable one. If you are looking for a private tour of the Scottish Highlands, then please contact me to be your tour guide.
Nairn’s greatest asset is its marvellous sandy beach and makes for the perfect family holiday: sand castles, promenade walks, putting green, leisure park and a swimming pool – all set against the backdrop of the Moray Firth with its wonderful views and a chance to see the famous Moray Firth dolphins. Nairn is well known for its championship golf courses – Nairn Golf Club, Nairn Dunbar Golf Club and nearby Castle Stuart.
Nairn is the perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands and is close to Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Inverness, Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness. Nairn is also a good starting point for the now famous North Coast 500 – a 516-mile (830 km) scenic route around the north coast of Scotland. Nairn is well connected by bus, train and air. If you enjoy outdoor activities check out walking in Nairn and Forres, the Dava Way or perhaps off-road cycling. There are options for fishing on the River Nairn or Findhorn – and bird watching at nearby Culbin Forest. There is no Tourist Information in Nairn so use visitNAIRN.com to plan ahead.
